It would be a huge time saver if the ALL PHOTOS page had a 'select all' button. eg I uploaded the wrong resolution files - I can search by file name and select all to delete them. The select box is tiny it's time consuming to have to tick it when there are 100s of photos to delete.

I had a relative of a bride ask me to repost an expired wedding gallery so that she alone can view and order. I have Cron set up. An automated expiration email went out to the 64 people attached to the gallery.

Can the feature be added to cancel or enabled the cron (automated emails) at the gallery level?

For future updates, I would like to see a tier option for EARLY BIRD DISCOUNTS. Currently I have 40% for the first 10 days, then 20% off for the next 10 days then 10%. Of course I am doing all the changes manually through the EARLY BIRD DISCOUNT option. This tier system really drums up my sales for the first 10 days. I realize a tier option may not apply to a lot of other type photography but for high volume school photography , it works great.

Favorite folders to expire out in a set amount of time, I.E. 30 days, 60 days, 90 days etc.... To send an email to remind people who create a favorite folder to purchase or they are going to lose them, just like an expiring page but for favorites.

Paid Access given the ability to expire out the same as above.

Print Credits assigned from Paid Access to expire out in the same manner as above.

Basically, I charge for access to galleries so I do not let the gallery expire out. I use Amazon to host my images since I am way over the allotment given by GoDaddy. However, I do not unpublish pictures due to horse deaths years later and so on. But I do want to keep none paying people out from using it as their personal photo gallery instead of purchasing the pictures. Hope this makes sense. Thanks!

This feature request is more for this feature requesting portion (forum) of Sytist.
Can you add a thumbs up option for these feature requests? So that we can vote on the ones we like the most.

The more the votes the higher the feature suggestion goes in the list.

Because someone had an amazing, competition crushing idea about adding SMS feature that would allow us to integrate Twillo.

I'm not saying it's easy but I see a lot of solutions out there which suggests, it's possible. So possible there's a ton of options out there.

Sorry if this has been posted somewhere already. I did not take the time to read every post. At the moment I have 2 requests which would save me a huge amount of time and hassle.

1. Add some other payment options. (I have tried them all!) I do not live in the US and the payment options already integrated do not work for the UAE or only in $, which is not an option.

2. Batch edit payment. - I had the school collect all the money for me (since I can't use online payment) and they gave me the list with all parents that have payed. Now I have to go through every order and add payment, confirm and send to client. This method is very time consuming.

Hey Tim -
Could you add the option of having a profile photo assigned to client accounts please?
I think it will really help identify names with faces for clients that only book every couple years or so.

Also, would there be a way to add past documents (pdf files) to client accounts? With the option of allowing the client to view them or not to view them?

Sorry I have to bring it up again and adding of new features to Sytist is very nice and all but, as we start to visit more and more international events, we urgently need multilanguage support!

Please Tim, you promised it years ago and nothing happened, we need it!

It would be incredibly helpful to have a way to enter orders from the admin side that includes the items and image selection. At this point just typing in an invoice will create an order but because it is not linked to items/images nothing carries over to the Photo Product Report rendering it completely useless. :( Help please.. this is a HUGE issue for those of us using Sytist for volume.

When clients come back to select their images after a pre-order package is there a way to continue the original order instead of it issuing another order/order number. This makes things incredibly confusing when trying to makes sense of volume orders, who has selected, and who hasn't. It's tough enough to sort through 100+ orders at a time without half or more being duplicated.

Big time game changer request here.... how about an report/csv export that is jn the proper format for ROES events. I think the only info lacking at this point would be the pacakge code for ROES but that could be a field on the package or product creation perhaps.

Would it be possible to have credit or discount code automatically added to a customers account depending on how much they spend, possibly with a time limit for use. For example, they spend £50 so get £5 credit in their account, or a %discount, if used with 48 hours?

I love how i can automatically close a gallery on a certain day, change price lists on a certain day etc. but what I need is to change from an open view to a pay to view gallery

With the introduction of GDPR there is a need for more granular consent where model releases are concerned. I would like to use the contracts section of Sytist to handle this but rather than the [CHECKBOX_REQUIRED] I would like to have a radio button that forces a choice to prevent customers just skimming past so for example.

Hi Tim,

I would love to be able to download the purchased images from the admin side when viewing the order. This would help when using green screen and the customer has already picked the backdrop. To be able to download the image with the backdrop install would save me time from having to do this in preparation to send it to the lab. And doing in from the front end through the gallery is time consuming because I have to go through so many photos.

Useful features I would like to see in future updates.

1. customer profile picture
2 custom fields for any reason such as loyalty membership or checkbox such as loyalty member or tier level members in the customer profile.
3. the ability to put customers on a roster when they book an event. This shows participation and can drum up more participation. This feature can be enabled or disabled.
4. A rewards program for making X number of purchase or X amount of purchase.
5. a viewable calendar that is separate from the admin calendar. Helps to show customers some scheduled events.
6. On a booking page, the ability to move the BOOK NOW button to the top of the page and not always on the bottom, this helps when we have a lot of information and the customer has a scroll through the info to get to the BOOK NOW button. A work around is to copy paste the code to the text field. This works fine, but would be nice to just indicate where you want the button.
7. On the booking page, to be able to set an all day event with a limited number of bookings but instead of time slots to have it say SLOT 1, SLOT 2, SLOT 3, SLOT 4 etc...without pre-determine times. And each slot has an X number of bookings.
8. And a great feature for the front admin page. A section that showcases all your current galleries. This would be a quick way to go directly to a gallery when you have to do edits to that gallery instead of going through all the drop down menu to get to the gallery page.

Is this even possible???

When uploading to a gallery and replacing photos with the same filename....include the option to update metadata ONLY.

For example, you've uploaded 5,000 photos from an event...but oops you stuffed up the captions/keywords/other metadata....instead of uploading a crazy amount of GB's again, simply use the updated files to transfer metadata across to the existing images in the gallery.

I can think of a few times where this would come in handy (it allows more workflow flexibility), but maybe it's not even possible?

Hi Tim,

In an ever competitive market for google rankings I would like to get my site as optimised as possible, most of the advisory messages I am now getting on google page insight is related to above the fold javascript, minification of scripts and the round trips my site is making to download all the java script files necessary to present my site.

Would it be possible to make some of these optimisation to Sytist?

Better Sytist Visitor Stats

When looking at a visitor’s stats I can see how many pages they have viewed, If they are a return visitor, and the device they are using.

I really would like to generate a report which would tell me the summaries of all three of these statistics at the time of their first purchase.

Did they book a shoot on their first visit, or did they return to the site multiple times before their purchase? If they returned multiple times, then what did they look at while they were on the site?

Who has been on my site the most?

Who has spent the most money at my business?

Who are my biggest repeat customers?

A graph showing how many visits or page views it took before a sale occurred, if at all.

Not a biggy but it would be cool if on the page that lists all the clients (has the client name, number of photos, expiry date etc) it also had the total sales for each client.

Exporting Filenames

As I have clients that can attend many events having just the filename is not always the solution, would love to be able to export their favourites that lists gallery and filename

Jocelynn, wrt taking orders from the admin side:
I take orders over the phone all the time. I just use the clients password/ log in to their gallery the same way the client would select the photos/package, enter their details etc. and process their card.

Functions for data Import and Export

It will be great to make a system to export and import some things in Sytist.
For exemple, we could select "price base", "text base", shop,... and export data on a file
And after, import to a Sytist data base.

Abandoned Shopping Cart works fine however something that I have noticed from suppliers targeting me is the use of "you have an uncompleted basket use code XYZ for a £% discount for completing the order within 24 hours

Obvious issue is auto generated vouchers

Many times we need to place an order or re-order to fix a bad order and we want to do this in Sytist so it goes in with all of our other orders for that school and so the customer gets a record of it. The issue is we many times need to do this order at no charge. While we can do this with a 100% off coupon code, if they are ordering something that usually doesnt allow discounts, it won't work properly and we can not process it in Sytist. I would request a checkbox in the coupon area that allows for us to choose for a coupon we create to "OVERRIDE NON-DISCOUNT ITEMS AND ALLOW CODE TO WORK ON EVERYTHING" or just for us to make a type of coupon that is called "ORDER OVERRIDE" that will work to comp out an entire order quickly while we are taking it over the phone...or have an area in the backend (as mentioned above in another request) that is a "create a comp order or create a paid order" that works just like the customer experience where we can enter a password and process an order with them over the phone without any payment (started with just their password just like they do) and also marks the order as PHONE IN/ADMIN ORDER so we know in the future if its in question that we actually placed the order in the system and not the client on their end (we've had issues where there has been an error in the order and we do not know if we took it over the phone or they did it themselves online).

Please extend the new product labels to add the ability to filter for products with no labels. That would help when you're making tags to see what still needs to be handled.

Also, when duplicating products, it'd be nice if there were an option to duplicate the product labels, too. Currently duplicating a product with a label creates a new product with no label.

A couple of things that would be great for Early Bird specials:

1) I'd like to change the discount name from Early Bird to something else in My Cart

2) It'd be great if the Early Bird discount caused prices to have a strikethrough and show the discounted price while browsing, not just an adjusted total price in My Cart. That would make it more obvious that it's a deal to buy now. Basically, would like the store product sale functionality to apply to Early Bird.

UPDATE:

It occurs to me that the strikethrough would probably work only with percentage discounts as showing like $20 off of random items while you have a $20 credit would probably result in a lot of misunderstanding. I really do think the strikethrough would be great marketing on the percentage off, though.

It'd be really helpful to be able to batch import coupons via CSV. We use a forms server to generate customer information, and it creates a random password, which we add as a keyword for customer's pictures so that they can be used as keycode images. We could just as easily create a unique coupon code attributed to each user (we pass these variables to MailChimp so that you get a personalized email with a merge tag like, "hi , here's your to access your keycode images." I'm going to generate a batch of coupons from Sytist, but to get them to sync perfectly with the list names, I'm going to have to remake the MailChimp list: I have to make the batch of coupons, add them to the spreadsheet for list names, and then use MailChimp's import function from excel to push them to MailChimp.

Ideally, I'd like to be able to batch create user accounts and give them credits that way since we sell deposits for our photography. We have about 2,000 clients each year, and it's just not feasible to make each one by hand. I can only imagine what a school photographer would need!

Apologies if this one is incoherent. Busy season and traveling. Really enjoying Sytist so far. Very capable system.

The amount of fake emails people are entering is starting to get out of hand now. It makes having an account almost a waste of time...

Sytist has become a godsend for my school photography.
The best solution for me was to create Photo Packs as simple products in the Product Base and in the Product Description I have listed what is included in the pack.
It would be great to be able to include this description in the order to confirm what the customer has ordered.

I thought I could already do this, but now I'm seeing it's not there. I need to be able to override the current price list sometimes and give a particular photo a different price list. Example: I just put two greeting card samples up, one is photographic and the other is printed, so two different price lists. Or, if an odd size is posted, like 10x20, I would like the option to put a size specific price list. I believe this was do-able in PhotoCart.

As someone coming from Shootproof, one thing I've noticed right away is the watermark/logo support. It's a bit basic at the moment.

Not all of my uploaded images are going to be the same size due to cropping etc. so a one size fits all watermark/logo doesn't work for consistency. It'd be nice to be able to see the size of the WM e.g. 10% and it'll occupy 10% of the width of the image, the same with setting an inset e.g. 5% or 50px and it'll be that much in from the top/bottom/left/right (depending on the setting chosen).

Being able to re-apply a watermark is a must as well, you've already got the code there for doing the hard part :)

I know GD is also on pretty much all servers, but it's a memory and CPU hog when doing uploads. Have you looked at VIPS? It's available as a PHP module, uses waaaaay less CPU and memory and gives better quality as well. We use it at $dayjob to process millions of image views in realtime for a client site, on average in 120ms (GD doesn't come close, nor ImageMagick).
