In the gallery stats, could you add the expenses for that gallery. It would be nice to have the total sales, discounts, tax and expense all accounted for and a final calculation giving the net profit for the gallery. Also to be able to print the gallery stats for record keeping.

One thing I know we all want is to be able to have orders filled by a printer when they are ordered. Bay Photo has integrated partners that Sytist could do too. See at the bottom of the page.

I would like to see scheduled payments on the calendar. Or possibly a report on receivables.

Stats based on category? So in addition to per gallery stats, a way to get order stats on a per category basis.
For example
Newborn Proofs (all galleries orders and stats listed like it is in each gallery by itself)
Family Proofs (all galleries orders and stats listed like it is in each gallery by itself)


This would let me find out details on specific categories like Newborns vs Family or sports, vs schools, and would allow me to run an event in more than one studio for santa or easter bunny and be able to sort the orders by location for easier onsite fulfillment.

I'm not sure but this might also let me archive orders and still get the stats for them instead of categorizing the orders and manually adding the totals.

Change to Paid Access via CRON

Presently I have to expire a gallery and then manually change to paid for access, would be great if this could be automated

I am currently setting up my Price Lists and Print Credits for several Package Collections. It is my understanding that a new Print Credit will have to be created for each customer every time I sell a certain Collection Package that includes prints.

Would like to request the option of creating several different Print Credits under “Photo Products/Print Credits” tab in the Admin and having the ability to access said Print Credits through client’s gallery under and to the right of “Text & Settings” tab. Similar to the options on the right side of the “Text & Settings” in the gallery page for example similar to “Password Protect” option. I suggest having one for Print Credits with a drop down menu to show which Print Credits are created/available to select from and below that a Print Code field to give it a unique Code for that gallery only with radio button options such as one time use, unlimited, etc. Instead of creating individual Print Credits for each customer under “Photo Products/Print Credits”, one can create a list of Print Credits once and customize it through the gallery area as mentioned above.

I believe this can work too with any Booking Services such as Portrait, Headshots, Senior Portraits, etc. offered if one wants to advertise a special, sale, or discount, offering for a particular Service. Similar to the above example to the right under the “Text & Settings – Options” for a Booking Service, it can include a drop down menu to show which Discounts are created/available to select from and below that a Discount Code field to give it a unique Code for that particular Booking Service only and an expiration date.

I am offering a Senior Package with certain number of prints and am assigning a Print Credit for a Collection of prints sizes I am including with the package with a one-time use to the customer. I am hoping I am setting it up right.

Hope my suggestion is beneficial to someone other than myself. Thanks Tim for your hard work.

I would like the ability to export individual contacts. We have a customer database created in FileMaker Pro and would like the ability to export newly created people in Sytist so we can import the individual into FMP.

During registration I would like to see a field; "How did you hear about us?"

I also would like to be able to ask what position they hold at their company.

Perhaps the ability for users to add additional fields on the registration form is what I am hoping for.

In a new update, I would like to be able to create the expense types such as lab cost, photography cost....etc. And have it all in one form with each type to have its own input field. This way when you click ENTER EXPENSE you just have to fill it out once and save. As it is now, you have to click ENTER EXPENSE....enter in amount....click check box of the type of expense...save....then repeat. Trying to save all these steps.

I would really like the ability to use additional Mail Chimp merge fields when people sign up for the mailing list. For example:

1) I would like to use a hidden merge field to save the URL used to sign up
2) I would like the client information (address/phone) to be saved if someone signs up during the checkout process
3) I would like to use a hidden merge field to save the order total to MailChimp

The list goes on and one. Basically, I would like to be able to use as much data as possible to accurately segment my email list.

I would like the ability to disable gallery/page expiration email notifications at a gallery/page level. For example, by default, I would like to the email notifications to be sent. But, I would like the ability to override that and disable them for a couple of particular galleries/pages.

The ability to sort the email addresses collected per gallery by name or email address. This makes it so much easier to find someone to delete the address when they request to be removed.

I think a great option when clients create an account is to be able to have an automatic credit deposited to the account. For instance, they can get a $5.00 credit to offset the shipping charge or for whatever we can come with as a way to get clients to create an account. Yes, I can set it so everyone has to create an account to view pictures, however, I rather have it so they can make that decision then to "force" them to do it.

I myself, hate visiting sites that forces me to create an account. However, if there was an incentive to open an account than it is still my decision to do so.

I think a more immediate access to the cart on the mobile is required.

At the moment, on mobile the only way to access the current cart is to scroll to the top, use the drop down and choose cart.

I think a better solution would be a sticky button just like the current 'Close Window' button we currently have when viewing the product list.

I'm not sure if this is an option or something that has been suggested. For registered users to be able to get specific page updates for new images uploaded or changed in a gallery, and to take that a step further, the ability to add NEW over lay onto a thumbnail so they can find the images easier within larger galleries.

Also, I would like to see a reprocess images if I change the settings for image sizes, especially when removing a gallery with lots of images that were uploaded with different settings.

I like Bruce Pham suggestion, the incentive to sign up. I get enough new visits, but nothing catches in regards to signing up, so the real magic can begin regarding starting sales of specific images that people who signed up. Also to amend his suggestion, maybe automatically add a % sign up and get 10% off your first order. To take it further, I would like my registered users to create favorite, maybe an incentive to start a list so I can generate sales on those images eaiser.

I try and push monthly wallpaper, but in order to free download it the user has to sign up, something I would like to do, is to add a donate button on those pages for those who don't want to sign up to download free, but to donate a small amount in order to get the wallpaper.

In other news... thank you for adding the booking features two updates ago, this really opens up my ability to do workshops in the distant future while allowing people to sign up. I still have to implement that into my site.

Greetings Tim,

First off thanks for creating a great platform for photographers. I've loved my site.

I, and hopefully others, would benefit from the ability to have a client pay for an invoice and be redirected to a download link that would allow them to download all of their images. I charge by the hour and provide clients with high resolution files. Their download files can range anywhere from 500mb to over a gigabyte. Currently the method in which Systist breaks up the images into smaller zip file takes time and effort and is confusing for the customer to understand as well.

I'd much prefer the ability to upload my zip files via FTP and then connect that download link to their receipt of payment.

Still getting used to the changes from Photocart. Thanks for the great service with my install.

Two features I don't see are

Discounts. I used to have the ability to do a % on a la carte items if a client purchased a collection.
Multi Image Products in a collection. I have things like collages and albums in collections and I'm having trouble setting up these situations.

Three things for me at the moment I'd REALLY like to see;

1. The ability to add a premium when booking certain days of the week (i.e for me, Saturdays).

2. For confirmation & reminder emails, I love the fact that you can set a different text for each one - but would love it even more if I could also specify the from email address and name on the templates. depending on what my clients book, I have some of these separately, and at the moment I have to change it each time manually when sending the booking confirmation email. Would be great to be able to set them once for each type of booking then forget it.

3. Id' love to be able to change the way the calendar views, so the weeks start on Monday rather than Sunday - I'm forever having a quick look at the calendar and then quoting the wrong day as being free, since in the UK our calendars are usually displayed with Monday first, not Sunday(!)

A great product though, and still getting better all the time.

I just installed the 2.0 update. Everything looks great!
I would love to have a setting where you could automatically re-launch the image gallery on anniversaries and email anyone that logged in to it.

Imagine if a family member got this email...
"Bob and Sally's wedding anniversary is one month away! What would be a better gift than a print from their wedding?"

This could generate another couple hundred in sales!

When creating a booking option, if I select checkbox as the option style, the "Check this box if this option is required" dissapears...

Can we have that not dissapear please?

After yet another client telling me AFTER their shoot that they thought the products were included as part of the shoot fee (duh) I wanted to add an option on all my booking forms saying something like:

"I understand no products are included in the shoot fee and have visited the products and pricing page prior to booking".

...so I want to make it compulsory that they tick the box in order to book a shoot. Is this possible please?

I second this. Awesome idea!

I would like to have a Product Registry, where couples could add prints, albums, wall portraits, etc to their registry. There's still a lot of old school people who want to buy a gift and adding products would give them the feeling of giving a gift & not just cash.

I'm a Madmimi user and would love to see integration with Madmimi. Or integration with IFTTT (preferred) or Zapier so we can connect to other applications.

Hi Tim,

I would like to see a feature, that when a client is logged into there account and forget to logout that theirs a way to have control over the login cookie time to expire less then 1 year. And maybe be redirected back to a login screen when the cookie expires.

Reason for the request is if a client is login in on a public computer.

Hi Tim - I don't even know if this is possible but I'm such a lazy blogger even though I know how important it is to SEO so I fail miserably. I would love to be able to import a feed to the blog like from Instagram or Facebook page posts or something and create a post with tags and all that jazz without having to actually go and do it.

I would love the ability to in the "Proofs" section hide all images that weren't approved or request revisions. It's not the smoothest to have to scroll through hundreds of images in a gallery just looking for the green bar when they are approved.

Unless you can already do this and I just haven't found out how yet.

Or even group them, just a way to see only the photos the client has chosen or requested edits.

Could we have a section to override calendar settings for special one day events.
Currently it takes into consideration the times I have set in calendar for unavailability period due to dinner breaks or school runs.

It would also be nice if we could set unavailability periods in calendar on certain days rather than as a whole as I of course don't do school runs on a weekend.

The transfer of a contacts information to Square when paying through Square. I would also like to see Square transaction expenses added the way we do for PayPal.

I would like to see the ability to re-arrange the order of products in the Product Base. At the moment, the products seem to be arranged in price order. In addition, it would be helpful if you were able to duplicate a product in the Product Base too. That would help if you want to add products that are similar to each other.

Just a little thing - I do certain events where the guests/client is entitled to a free download ..

when they click the download icon - a little window appears as per the attached image .. after they have clicked it, there is no indication that it is downloading, or has been downloaded.. the Download Now window stays open

with some browsers the downloading is obvious (e.g. google chrome) as the bar comes up at the bottom. Less so on Firefox and other browsers..

it would be helpful for the DOWNLOAD NOW window either to change to DOWNLOADED or just to disappear altogether.

I notice quite a few duplicate downloads which skews the figures.

Not a life-threatening issue, but it would help !

Can i ask for the following to be implemented... it would save tonnes of time!

When adding a blog post could you please add the function to automatically post to your own social media.
This would save having to log in to each of your social media upload images etc.

The image to be used could be the cover image.
The text for the social media you would have to type in yourself.

at the moment it takes apx 10 mins to post notifications to all my social media sites when a blog is posted.

Invoice/packing order layout

Is it possible to make the invoice to fit on one page (Version with price and pictures) I have a lot of orders with 3 or 4 pictures and there is a LOT of waisted space at the top and bottom so all my invoices prints on 2 pages when it could have easily fit on just one ;-) . I need to get the picture on because I used them to pack the orders.

That is a very small thing that can save US (customer) a LOT of money ;-)

Second on the invoice/packing slip - if the photo could be listed once when there are multiple copies ordered (hate to say but like in photocart) would make printing and ordering easier.

Also sending the client name to square would really help! (I use jotform and square and they send name and e-mail with transaction)

Payment plan for Orders?

Currently, if a client partially pays for a large order, the system doesn't show the payment marked on their invoice. It continuously shows the full amount due. And will not allow you to put in multiple payments on differing dates. It only allows you to put in the current date of payment and you have to manually add the previous payments up with the current payment.
I have a few clients that make payments on their orders, so this would be very beneficial at saving me some time. As well as show the client what they have previously paid and one what dates. Keeps the backend very transparent for the customer.

SO...Payment options for orders
1) Allow for adding in payments, date of payment, and type of payment made (ie Cash, Check, Charge)
2) Show individual payments on email and online invoice
3) Allow client to opt into a payment plan during checkout - 2, 4, 6 month plans and show payments for each
4) Auto emails for payments due on an invoice 1 week prior to due date.
5) also keep the option to manually add in payment if client pays in person, but fix the system so it will allow you to add each payment individually instead of having to add on.

Hi Tim. I find I'm using Gallery Exclusive mode a ton, but that there is no way to control the menu order if you have sub-galleries. Nest a couple of folders, and they automatically show up first. I'd love a way to control the order of this menu. Thanks!

I just made a bride a gallery-owner for the first time. Great to give her the ability to hide images. Any way you can allow admins to know which images are being hidden?

I would like to see an expense report per gallery. Since I'm in high volume photography this would help tremendously with record keeping. The stats per gallery already has a lot of useful numbers, just need expense.

Sorting of lists.

Client lists especially are sorted by last name and then ... creation date? It is unclear to me, but if I search for a common last name like "Stewart" in the people tab I get 16 results, and they are then somewhat random. Could there be a secondary sort applied?

This would also be VERY handy with the long long dropdown we get for adding someone to a gallery. Our current database has about 18,000 people in it - so when we have to add someone to access a gallery from the "People" tab you can imagine how much nicer it would be if the names were sorted by both last and then first name.

Galleries are the same, and orders, etc.

I would still like to see some form of 3rd party automation capability so I can use Sytist to drive integration with other tools. Something like WebHooks with Zapier would be great since it enables integration with so many other things like Google Docs, MailChimp, SalesForce, Trello, Todoist, etc.

I use Sytist for 3 years successfully now for selling my photos as a download, package or print. All of the prints are produced with my own printers. It would be a great feature when Sytist can be used for customers who would print their own photos, so I will be their printing house. Customers can upload a (bunch of) photo(s) and select the sizes, options and quantities per image. I can download the files then with FTP, and the order form is in the existing orders section in Sytist. Do you have any plans to implement this kind of features? There are some web to print scripts available, but they are written for designing business cards, t-shirts and so on, but not for photo labs...

Would it be possible to add the price list options to the pop up window when creating a new sub gallery? We have to create numerous sub galleries and it seems like unnecessary steps to then go back and click another link to change the price group. And of course sometimes forgetting to because it’s not right there when adding the sub gallery.

I have two email template requests:

1) New Accounts - I would really like the ability to auto-send a "welcome" email to new clients when they create an account
2) Shipping Followup - I would really like the ability to auto-send a followup email to clients 'N' days after their order has been shipped (not those that are manually archived)

Good morning. We would love to see the feature that when someone is emailed a remember that a gallery is expiring that it would include their access password for the gallery on passcoded galleries. That would help so much for our school galleries.
