Collections

Collections (or packages) are a collection of products to be purchased and the customer will select the photos for the collection. After you create a collection, you will need to assign them to the price list(s) which you will do when viewing the price list in the admin.

Collection Options

When creating a new collection, you have the following options:

I will assign products to the package

This option means you are going to add products from your product base and assign the quantity of each product for the collection.

Making selections only

This option you will not select products and the customer will just be adding photos to the collection. If you just want the customer to be picking 10 photos for example and not for specific products, you would select this option.

Including Other Collection

This option allows you to create a collection of other collections. When selecting this option you will only be able to add other collections.

Once you create a collection you have additional options.

Limit Poses

Here you want to limit the poses they can select for the collection. For example, a collection includes 1 8x10, 2 5x7, 2 4x6 and select up to 2 poses.

Credit

By entering a credit in a collection, the customer can select other individual photo products and this credit goes towards those prices. Example, a collection is $150 and has a $50 credit. They buy $60 worth of a la cart prints and the credit goes toward that so the total of the cart would be $160. Any credit not used will be forfeited and has to be used on the same purchase.

Require all products to have photo selected

Checking this option means the customer has to select a photo for each product in the collection to place their order. Leaving it unchecked means the can still checkout & place their order without selecting a photo for each product in the collection.

Extra Photo & Extra New Photo

After you add products to a collection, there is an option for Extra Photo & Extra New Photo. By entering in a price in these fields, this will allow the customer to purchase extra photos in the collection at an additional price.

Extra Photo is the price for a pose that has already been added to the collection.

Extra NEW Photo is the price for a pose that has not been added to the collection. This will allow you to charge extra for selecting a new pose.

Important! If you use the Extra Photo & Extra New Photo option, you MUST enter a price for both. If you don't, then they will be able to add photos to their cart for free.

Taxable

Checked means it is a taxable product.

Shippable

Checked means this collection will be shipped.

Adding products to a collection

When you create a collection that you will assign products to, you will see a Add new product to collection button. There you will select the products to add and the quantity for each.

After you have added multiple products, you can drag & drop to arrange the display order of the products.

Collection Thumbnail

This allows you to upload a photo you want to show next to the collection when the customer is viewing available collections.
