Updates Prior to version 3

2.9.2 May 26, 2018

Another follow-up update to the 2.9 version to fix some things.

  • Fixed javascript error when paying an invoice with Square causing it to not submit.
  • Fixed  error message when creating an account and selecting to join the mailing list.
  • Fixed if you delete or erase an account of a customer and by some chance they are logged in displaying incorrect information in the account section. 
  • Fixed email view tracking not working when Sytist is installed in a sub folder. 
  • Fixed when photos are hosted on amazon S3 and the file name contains a + sign or spaces not displaying thumbnails in the admin
  • Fixed when photos are hosted on amazon S3 and the file name contains a + sign not being downloaded in zip files

2.9.1 May 18, 2018

  • Fixed issue when paying a deposit on a booking session it could possibly show a message that the time slot was booking after clicking submit payment  caused from the last update.

2.9.0 May 15, 2018 (Forum post on this update)

  • Added to the booking calendar checking if someone has booked a time at the time of booking (in case someone booked while someone else is trying to book a time). * See below for more info about this.
  • Added the option to disable automated reminder emails on a per gallery basis. 
  • Added the option to disable automated reminder emails for individual booking services. 
  • Added email view tracking to show if an email has been viewed in Stats -> Email Logs. ** See below for more info on this.
  • Added a Privacy Policy section (Settings -> Privacy Policy, Consent, Cookie Notice) with a default policy.
  • Added the option to display link to privacy policy when someone is creating an account and entering in email address to view a gallery.
  • Changed the cookie warning to cookie notice and added a link to accept cookie and link to view privacy policy.
  • Added the option to get consent when someone creates an account and making a purchase to receive emails pertaining their gallery or photos (early bird special, expiring notices, etc..). 
  • Added the option to add a consent checkbox for the mailing list signup (People -> Mailing List Settings). When someone checks this option, it saves the text they agreed to in the mailing list. 
  • Added the option to add a privacy policy link to the mailing list signup (People -> Mailing List Settings). 
  • Added the option when exporting people associated with a gallery (people tab when viewing the gallery in the admin) to not export those who are on the opt-out list.
  • Added the option to Show accounts than have not be active more than X days in the People section. From there you can batch delete or erase accounts.
  • Added an Opt-out Email button when viewing accounts in the admin to add email address to the Opt-out list.
  • Added if an email address is on the opt-out list, they will not be sent any emails when sending people information about a gallery. Previously it was just for automated emails. 
  • Added a tooltip when mousing over categories when editing a page for categories with long titles running off.
  • Added text editor to textarea fields in Design -> Page Text so the text can be formatted and links added.  
  • Added when sharing a photo to Facebook and the photo has a caption or title, it will use that caption for the desciption and title for the photo name.
  • Added the option for "remember me" when creating an account and logging into an account to set a cookie to automatically log in on returning visits on the front end. Previously it automatically did it.
  • Made some speed improvements.
  • Changed wall designer if going to wall designer from a sub gallery and changing photos it defaults to photos in that sub gallery.
  • Changed in the wall designer to not display sub galleries that are password protected.
  • Fixed taxable total calculation in the Reports section that was including taxable total from orders that didn't actually charge tax. 
  • Fixed incorrect order totals when order being paid with account credit and also has VAT/GST on the order. 
  • Fixed if your hosting doesn't have cURL enabled in the PHP configuration not being able to log out as a customer.
  • Fixed sometimes when selecting a category when creating a new page a previous parent category showing on sub categories.  

* Booking calendar update:  If someone is booking a time and doesn't require a deposit, it checks to see if the time is still available when they try to complete the booking. If the booking service does require a deposit, it will check every 2 seconds while they are at checkout to see if the time is still available. If the time is not available anymore, it will remove it and show them a message it is no longer available. 

** Email tracking: If an email has been viewed, it will show an eye icon next to the subject and how many times it was viewed. Mouse over to view the date it was last viewed. Note that if the person viewing the email has images blocked, it won't show it has been viewed so it is not 100% accurate. 

2.8.0 April 2, 2018 (Forum post on this update)

  • Added a Watch Folder option for the uploading photos via FTP which will open in a new tab to watch for a process newly uploaded photos. (more info)
  • Added "Graphic Options" for products where a list of graphics / photos are displayed to select from for the option. 
  • Added a new search option in the main menu where you can search for accounts, orders & pages (galleries) that will give you search results as you type. 
  • Added the option to "erase" a person. (more info)
  • Added the option to batch delete and erase accounts from the People section. 
  • Added the option to add a background color and top/bottom padding to text/photo split,video, headings & plain text in the page designer.  
  • Added the option to have buttons & image links open in new tab in the page designer. 
  • Changed the was forgot account passwords are done. Instead of changing right away and sending a new password, the customer is sent an email with a link to create a new password. 
  • Made it so text isn't automatically centered on mobile.
  • Added the ability to see past bookings in the booking calendar when viewing bookings from a customer's account. 
  • Added for page design dynamic content if page was made with the page designer, grab the preview image and text from the page design code for the listings if no preview photo or text has been added.
  • Added file names for alt tags on billboard slides 
  • Added ini_set('exif.encode_unicode', 'UTF-8'); When reading EXIF data from photos being upload to help with accented characters. 
  • Added utf8 encoding when reading IPTC data from images when uploaded to help with accented characters. 
  • Fixed menu separators not showing after client menu if being used in the main menu.

  • Fixed when using dynamic content in the page designer and using the Do Not Fill Photo Container option it still fills the container on browser resize. 
  • Fixed when mixing jpgs with pngs in a green screen gallery, jpgs not download with free downloads. 
  • Fixed when order has mixture of green screen & standard JPGs from the same gallery showing broken images for the jpgs on packing slips. 
  • Fixed page designer content showing when added to galleries using gallery exclusive showing at checkout and such. 
  • Fixed page designer not saving when using temporary index file for website and editing home page with designer.  
  • Fixed notes on admin home page not keeping double spaces/line breaks. 
  • Removed code that would link to http instread of https in links in the menu in some cases.
  • Change the facebook page share to be able to share on your business page.

2.7.0 Jan 23, 2018 (Forum post on this update)

  • Added automated abandoned shopping cart reminder emails. Learn more.
  • Added sending abandoned shopping cart reminder emails manually in Stats -> Shopping Carts
  • Added "email wrapper" code to make the emails sent from Sytist a little prettier (Settings -> Default Emails). See example here in the manual.
  • Reworked the options in the text & settings section when editing a page or gallery. It has a clean look and options open in a side panel to edit.
  • Added font weight and letter spacing options in the theme editor for text & titles.
  • Added the option to manually add email addresses to the opt-out list for automated emails (People -> Opt-Out Emails).
  • Added the option to view & delete individual automated emails pending to send in Settings -> Automated Emails
  • Added spacing above & below the checkout titles at checkout.
  • Added when content is being listed on the home page or in a category and the page was made with the page designer, grab the preview image and text from the page design code for the listings if no preview photo or text has been added.
  • Added when a page is made with the page designer, grab the preview image and text from the page design code for share photo & share/meta description if no preview photo or preview text/meta data has been added.
  • Fixed not being able to select a form in the page designer except for the default one.
  • Fixed invoices paid by PayPal not updating the order and sending strange emails which came up in the 2.6 update

2.6.0 Jan 7, 2018 (Forum post about this update)

  • New photo uploader (does not require flash). (More info in the manual)
  • With the new uploader you can select a folder of photos which can automatically create sub galleries based on sub folder structure in supporting browsers.
  • With the new uploader you can pause & restart the upload.
  • Added being able to change the resize photo sizes when uploading with the new uploader.
  • Added being able to add up to 24 scheduled payments for invoices. 
  • Added wall designer collection name to available collections 
  • Added the option to not delete photos that have been purchased when deleting galleries in Settings -> Photo Settings 
  • Fixed sharing of individual photos to facebook not showing the shared photo but instead the gallery preview photo because of changes Facebook made (removing the picture variable). 
  • Made shared photo responsive and scrollable. 
  • Fixed last years booking showing on calendar in grayed out area for the next month. 
  • Fixed when Buy All is not marked as shippable but contains products that are adding shipping

Another follow-up update to 2.5.0 to fix a few issues

  • Fixed unable to upload photos and videos to page designer when Sytist is installed in a sub folder.  
  • Fixed thumbnails.php and undefined green screen background variable slowing down showing favs in the admin.
  • Fixed photographer favorites not updating status when selecting in the admin. 
  • Fixed admin being able to create accounts with email addresses that already exist with another account.  

      

2.5.1 December 7, 2017
Follow-up update to 2.5.0 to fix a few issues

  • Fixed not being able to load a template when editing a section or category. 
  • Fixed hero/billboard slideshow causing page to lock up if it has many images. 
  • Fixed social icons in page designer not showing when Sytist is installed in a sub folder. 
  • Fixed the fixed background hero/billboard photo not displaying correctly on iPhone. 
  • Fixed when saving a page template with a map added triggering mod security in some cases.  
  • Fixed spacing for gallery name / site name in gallery exclusive mode (upper left corner).

Follow up update to 2.3.0 to fix a couple of things

  • Fixed bookings automatically being deleted from cart at checkout if database server time doesn't match up with your time zone. 
  • Fixed wrong number of saves showing in my account if a saved photo is deleted from a stock section. 

2.3.0 August 10, 2017 (Forum post on this update)

  • Changed when using the passcode photos and entering in a passcode in a gallery, it will only search for the passcode within that gallery instead of all galleries (in case the same passcode is used for photos in other galleries)
  • Changed up the options in the My Account section to buttons and added a scroll down for change email address, password, etc.. for mobile
  • Added the option to edit Taxable Amount when editing order information.
  • Added any booking options selected for a booking calendar service to show on the order in the admin.
  • Added any booking options selected for services to the daily print out from the booking calendar.
  • Added a message to show if all the time slots are booked for a day saying they have all been booked instead of just being blank.
  • Added removing a booking session added to cart after 15 minutes without checking out to help prevent duplicate bookings.

  • Added when uploading sub galleries via FTP, automatically assigning the fist photo in the sub gallery as the preview photo. This will help speed things up for installations with a ton of photos and sub galleries.
  • Added the option to edit .htaccess file from the admin by clicking Settings in the main menu then under the left menu.
  • Made changes to the photo delete queue to pause 8 seconds before deleting another batch, instead of starting every 30 seconds which could cause the admin to lock up if photos are deleting slowly.
  • Fixed database backup function not working when database password contains special characters.
  • Fixed not being able to select a preview photo from a sub gallery in Safari (hopefully)
  • Fixed scheduled payments paid with collect and manually process not showing second half of card info in the admin
  • Fixed when billboard is in use and thumbnails from a gallery are being displayed, second set of thumbnails being displayed over the first set
  • Fixed number of events today and tomorrow amount being wrong if there are events in the calendar from previous years.
  • Fixed photos in cart for sub products from store items showing too large outside of it's container.
  • Fixed email addresses on contact forms that contain a space at the beginning or end show invalid email address.
  • Fixed booking reminder email link from booking in admin using the confirmation email.
  • Fixed quantity dropdown option when viewing cart not showing the selected quantity until clicked.
  • Removed link for "Create an account" when clicking "Log in if you already have an account" when on the checkout page.

    

2.2.0 June 27, 2017

  • Changed up the Orders section so when selecting orders for batch actions, the batch options open at the bottom of the screen without having to scroll down. 
  • Changed add shipping to order to add shipping / notify so it can be used to notify people orders are ready to be picked up, delivered, etc..  in addition to adding shipping information 
  • Added the option to select a different default email for the add shipping / notify option on orders.
  • Added the ability to batch add shipping and / or email notifications for orders. 
  • Added the option to set default settings when using the add shipping / notify option on individual orders.
  • Added the option to sort the order of and set the default for "ship by options" (when adding shipping to an order). Orders -> Ship By Options.
  • Added the ability for customers to download all their favorites (if free downloads are available and if all photos use the same price list) 
  • Added when adding to favorites in a green screen gallery, it saves the background being used when photo is favorited.
  • Added collection name column option for photo product export for orders. (note: if photo in multiple collections, it will only show one collection name ) 
  • Added the option for info / text (No field option) for Forms to add text between form fields. 
  • Added icon under thumbnails in the admin that indicate how many free downloads and you can click to view who free downloaded the photo
  • Added icon under thumbnails in the admin that indicate how many times the photo has been favorited and you can click to see who favorited the photo.

  • Added in the Site Content section, linked # view in last 30 days to recent visitors so you can see which visitors viewed that page
  • Added number of views stats under section / category names in the left menu of the Site Content section. 
  • Added tax amount and taxable total from schedule payment invoices to reports.  
  • Added "closed" status for pages & galleries so no one but the admin (whiled logged in) can view the page.
  • Added alt tags to category preview photos & listings with photos that are not clickable. 
  • Added the ability for the admin to view expired pages / galleries on the front end. 
  • Added Pay Offline payment options to show when someone pays an invoice. You can disable that by editing the pay offline option in Settings -> Checkout & Payment and  check the option for "Hide this payment option for paying invoices".
  • Added booking service prices column when listing the services in the admin 
  • Made changes when you have a long product list and viewing an enlarged photo, and product list is scrolled down, automatically scroll up when clicking view cart. 
  • Made changes for when clicking redeem coupon from cart and viewing an enlarged photo it is not pushed off the screen in some cases.  
  • Fixed green screen background image not being applied to favorites when not using gallery exclusive mode.  
  • Fixed bug in Chrome browser that recently came up that made not being able to add styles (like bold) to selected text in the text editor.
  • Fixed a couple of errors related to PHP version 7.1 in order list in the admin. 
  • Fixed option to open gallery in a slideshow not working after last update.
  • Fixed phone number not being added to orders when checking out with a 0.00 total. 
  • Fixed when editing photo information, tags being lost. 


2.1.0 May 21, 2017

  • Added the option to add form fields to contracts to be filled out by the client signing

  • Added a "full screen" option for billboards with the option to add link buttons that overlay over the photos.

  • Added the option for a slow zoom in / out effect for billboard slides.  
  • Added when uploading photos for billboards, the large size is automatically set to 2200 so photos settings do not need to be changed.

  • Fixed not being able to do free downloads on galleries created with photos by tags. 
  • Fixed payments made to schedule payments not showing on order list when coming from reports and there are no other orders in the report.

  • Added the option to auto confirm booking service without a deposit for booking calendar services. (Option when editing a booking service)
  • Added when requiring an email address to view a gallery, that email address is recorded if they add something to their cart and will show next to the cart in Stats -> Shopping Carts with the option to send them an email.

  • Added to the Coupons list how many times a coupon has been used with a link to the orders it was used on. 
  • Added sub gallery & product notes to the Photo Product Export For Selected Orders feature. (Click the settings option in the photo product export option) 
  • Added the option to add additional text to the login screen (Design -> Page Text -> _log_in_text_ )
  • Added trimming whitespace from email addresses when creating an account and someone enters in a space with their email address which can cause an invalid email address error. 
  • Added alt tags to thumbnails that includes the photo title if one, and if not, the photo file name with with the gallery title. 
  • Added a check when archiving orders that the cart_id field does not already existing in the archive table before moving to archive table and skip which can cause an error when archiving orders. 
  • Added a check that PHP version is higher than 5.4 for square payment option in the admin. 
  • Made text editor use the font size set in the theme. 
  • Fixed company name (if in use) not getting added to orders when using a couple of payment options (like PayPal standard). 
  • Fixed schedule payment invoices showing in unpaid orders status. 
  • Fixed Facebook Login that stopped working because of Facebook changes. 
  • Fixed free downloads on individual photo price list override not working
  • Made changes that will allow for special characters in the MySQL database password. 
  • Fixed external links added to pages not working on mobile menu. 
  • Changed when saving a page in a section that is NOT a store section (and previously was), remove the quantity control option. 

1.9.0 March 10, 2017 (Forum post on this update)

  • A redesign of the product list / add to cart section for a cleaner display. See this page for more info.
  • With the redesign, when customers select a print product that has cropping enabled, they can preview the crop when selecting the product and adjust crop before adding to cart. 
  • Centered product group tabs. 
  • Added the option to preview photo product center cropped, but not allow the customer to select their own crop (option when editing products in the product base).
  • Collections that contain other collections now shows the content of those collections when viewing and purchasing. 
  • Added plus and minus signs for adjusting quantities when adding to cart with the new display.
  • Made adjustments when selecting photos for collections so it displays cleaner.
  • Removed the ability of someone being able to add the same download product of the same photo to their cart more than once. 
  • Added preview description for collections when using the collapse options & description option (for the new product list / add to cart redesign). 
  • Changed "View My Collection" link when a collection is in cart above the product list to a button.
  • Changed "Back To Product List" link when viewing a collection in cart to a button.

** About the reject option in project proofing.
With the new reject option in project proofing there are now the options Approve, Revise & Reject. You can disable either revise or reject when editing the project in the admin if you don't want to offer one of them. If you have any active projects, both revise and reject will be active. So if you don't want one of those options active, you will need to edit those projects.

Also in the email sent to you you should add a reject line so you can see in the email how many were rejected (new installs already have this included).

Go to Settings, Default Emails and click the "Proofs - Sent to admin when client done reviewing" email. Add this line under total revisions:
