When your gallery status is set to Pre-Register, when someone visits that page, they will be prompted with a form to fill out to be notified when the gallery is ready.
Pre-Register is in the Status option of the gallery.
This information is saved with the gallery and in the People tab of the gallery, you will have the option to email those people that the gallery is ready.
The pre-registration form has required first name, last name and email fields. And an optional phone number field can be added in the Pre-Register Setup section. .
Starting with Sytist version 5.1, you now have custom page text & success text on a per gallery basis. You will see the option for these under the page title when editing in the admin when the status is set to Pre-Registration.
Starting with Sytist version 5.1, you can use the Pre-Registration to collect subject information for QR Passcodes.
Set your gallery to use QR Passcodes and set the status to Pre-Register. Click the Pre-Register Setup link under the status to adjust what fields to show. (Be sure to save any changes made to the page before clicking Pre-Register Setup).
When QR Passcodes is enabled, you will have the option to add Subject Name, leader, and extra fields. These fields match up with the fiends in the QR Passcodes.

With the data field naming, your "Leader" field can be named Teacher, Coach, etc...Use the extra fields to collect other information you want, like Grade.
With the Leader & 3 Extra fields, you have the option to have either a text field for them to enter in the answer or a dropdown menu to select from a list you have created.
For dropdown menus, enter in an option 1 per line.
Asking for something like a teacher's name or grade, you would be better to create a dropdown menu so the answers match. This would be important for creating group photos.
All the ones that pre-register for a QR Passcodes gallery will be found in the QR Passcodes tab of the gallery. Their passcodes are automatically created.
