The Paid Access feature is where a customer has to pay in order to view a gallery. When this option is enabled it will prompt the customer that they need to purchase access. Once they do, they will be added to the access list and for the gallery and they will be able to view the gallery.
To enabled paid access for a gallery:
- Select the "Password Protect" option when editing the gallery.
- Then select "Yes - List with other galleries then ask for password".
- Check "Paid Access".
That will show the Paid Access options.
Options:
Price
The amount they have to pay to access the gallery.
Account Credit (optional)
A credit amount to apply to the customer's account that can be used to purchase products.
Download Credits (optional) New for version 3.0
Add download credits to the customer's account that can be used to download photos. You will need to assign credit values to your download products to use this. More about download credits.
Days of Access (optional) New for version 3.0
The number of days the customer will have access to the gallery. You can set it to 0 and they will have access until the gallery expires. If you enter in a value here, they will have access to the gallery for that number of days even if the gallery expires overriding the expiration date.
Make public gallery once a purchase has been made
Checking this option if 1 person purchases access to the gallery paid access will be removed and turn the gallery into a public gallery.
Allow people to access the gallery at no charge
If you want to allow someone to access the gallery without paying, you can either give them the gallery password or click the People tab for the gallery, click List, then assign them to the gallery.
IMPORTANT: Do not give out the password for the gallery unless you want them to access it without paying.
Setting defaults when creating new galleries
Edit the section your galleries are in (edit under the section/category name in the left menu of the Site Content are of the admin), click the "Defaults" option. Then select Password Protection or Paid Access. There you can see these values as default when creating new galleries.
