Date & Time: Changing Language & Time Format

To  change the language for dates

In your Sytist admin click on Settings in the main menu. Then under the left menu click edit config file. 

On a blank link before the closing PHP tag which is ?> .... add these 2 lines of code (copy and paste) then save:

$setup['lc_time_names'] = "fr_FR"; // French
setlocale(LC_TIME, "fr_FR.UTF8"); // French

Use the chart below to find your language code and change the parts in bold above.

To change the time to 24 hour format

In your Sytist admin click on Settings in the main menu. Then under the left menu click edit config file.

On a blank link before the closing PHP tag which is ?> .... add these 2 lines of code (copy and paste) then save:

$setup['calendar_time_format_a'] = "G:i"; // For 24 hour time format
$setup['calendar_time_format_b'] = "%H:%M"; // FOr 24 hour time format 

And in Settings -> Admin / Main Settings, change the MySQL time format to: %k:%i
