Can I Exclude Our Work Email From Getting The Emails Sent To Customers?

We are using Gallery settings > People > Send Email or Text > selecting a template message to email customers about a gallery. What we notice is we will get copies of every email sent to our work email (the same one that the email is "from"). The email we get shows "from" us and "to" the specific customer. There's nothing that shows in the CC that we were an additional email.

Is there a way to stop this so it doesn't clog up our inbox?

Sytist isn't sending you a copy of each email. I don't know why it would be sending a copy of each one.

Do they show in Stats -> Email Logs they are being sent to you?

From what I can tell, I only see emails where our work email is "from" and the "to" shows the customer. I don't see any where "to" and "from" show our work email.

The copy of the email we get in our mail client shows our email as "from" It also shows our email a second time in the "reply-to" field. Does that have anything to do with it? I'm not certain how to re-configure that.

It sounds like you or someone set up something outside of Sytist to send duplicate emails. If they were sent from Sytist, they would show in the email log.

Any tips on where to likely search? We use Google Workspace for our email domain, and we self host Sytist on a local server. Would it possibly be a configuration in the location where Sytist is installed? Not asking for specifics other than minimizing the goose chase.

Sorry, I have no idea. Start by checking your email settings or rules.

Ok weird. Sytist emails are the only case where we have this happening. I don't see anything specific in the Workspace settings for the email account we use either. We are using SMTP PHPMailer. I also did the "send test email" option to non-work related emails, and those worked as intended without the office email getting a copy either. I'll do my best to try and figure out why this has been going on.

Are you sure they are gallery invite emails and not automated Gallery Expiring Reminder Emails (will only send 1) or Abandoned shopping cart emails (will send one for each one sent)?

Abandoned shopping cart emails & Gallery Expiring Reminder Emails have the option to send a copy. (Settings -> Automated Messages -> Edit)

But even then, they would show in Stats -> Email Logs. All emails sent FROM Sytist are in Stats -> Email Logs.

It's a manually created template (Settings > Default Emails > Create New Default). There's nothing in the description of the email template that says it's a "default" for anything. I double checked the edit option, and there's no "send a copy" option.

We also get copies of the "order email" when a customer pays online. And you are correct that Sytist is only showing one copy being emailed (to the customer). There's no second line for the same email being sent to us.

Maybe there's something internally in PHPMailer that is set to auto send a copy to us? That still doesn't make sense that the "to" field is still the customer's email address, yet we get a copy of it.

You do receive order emails to the email address in Settings -> Basic Settings. That is supposed to happen.

Forward me an email you have received that is a copy of a gallery invite email. Also copy and paste any email headers to that email.

Will do. I just sent two emails. One bounced back because of an attachment issue. I will move communications to email now.
