Sytist 5.2 Upgrade Now Available

Some of the things in the upgrade include:
- Added the option to restrict which gallery someone can add photos to pre-ordered products.
- Added the option to print out QR codes with the photos that have been taken of that subject. Additional information toward the bottom of this page.
- Added the option to export data from QR passcode galleries with the order product export like subject first & last names, passcode, leader and extra fields. To enable those fields go to Orders -> Product/Order Export Settings
- Added a Forgot Passcode option for QR Passcode Photos & Passcode Photos galleries when there are email associated with passcodes. If an email is found with a passcode for that specific gallery, it will email them their passcode(s).
- Changed up checkout flow so it doesn't ask to ship to billing address or different address before the shipping option is shown. Now it will only show a shipping address option AFTER they have selected a shipping option.
- Added for dropdown options in products & price list options a list option where you can enter in / copy & paste a list of options to select from instead of enter in the options as line items.
- Added the option to merge accounts. It is in the Action menu when viewing an account in the admin.
- Added the option in the Product Export for orders "Select a certain purchased photo product to export " which will only export the photos with that product. Example: only export purchased 5x7s from selected orders.
- Added when downloading photos from multiple orders the option to only download photos that were purchased as a certain product .

How to update:
The first time each day you log into the admin it will check for the update and if one is available you will have a notice in blue on your Sytist admin homepage
If you have already logged into your admin today, then you won't get the notice until tomorrow. Or you can click Settings in the main menu then UNDERNEATH the left menu click check for update.

thanks for the update and for fixing this. has already saved me some time today not having to reupload a passcode file!
- Added when replacing a photo or photos in a Passcode Photos gallery or QR passcode gallery, not to replace the photo passcode (photo title). Previously it would remove the passcode when updating the photo data on upload.

- You can also print the QR codes to PDF if you think you may not have a mobile signal to access your website's QR page or you don't want other sub-contracted photographers to access it.
- Screenshot shortcuts - usually obtained by simultaneously pressing volume down and power (android) or volume up and side button (ios).

Not sure if this is a new bug or not that came with the update. I have noticed when you upload photos to a gallery and it assigns the gallery preview photo (normally the 1st photo you upload), when you select a different photo in the gallery admin via the little icon, the original photo is removed from the gallery. I think the image may still be in the system but it is no longer visible in the gallery where you uploaded it to. I have seen this two times this week with two galleries.
I now have a problem with checkout - people cannot check out as "required fields are missing" but they are not. I logged in under my own log in and same thing. help!
It's something to do with shipping - I have just gone in and turned off all "required" boxes and I still cant order/pay!

Yes, step 2.
I have had a look at our settings >> account requirements, and none were checked for addresses. We never used to collect addresses at step one anyway, before the 5.2 update, as it was unneccesary information.

If I change these options to either ask or request, then customers are asked for their address at first checkout page, and again at the select shipping page, but still the problem persists.

If I change all 'place order' options to require, then the basket passes step two (select shipping page) if home delivery option is requested and allows next movement step 3 card entry to appear.
Looks like a hidden option is forced to require even when unset in the settings above.
If you just require state and country it will work for now and you can uncheck those after the next update is released.

Fortunately for us, all galleries use digital only price lists this late in the year.
I wonder if it's a "foreign country" thing? I notice Trailboy is UK and I am AU.
I tried changing the postcode to "90210" but that didn't work - tbh, i've never asked for a postcode and I have that turned off so that might be a thing?
I just had an order come through this morning that has registered as being placed last night ( yesterday ) so that's also odd.
Ive just gotten in this evening with more people saying they cannot pay me or check out, all claiming the same "fields incomplete" ..

Updated to 5.2.4
It appears that that the delivery option at step 2 of the checkout is now no longer complaining of missing fields preventing progression to step 3.
However, it is requiring two attempts at pressing the 'next' button at step 2 to progress if you have chosen a home delivery option and entered an address, rather than the single press. It appears to be attempting to validate something before failing.
Single press only required to progress to step 3 card entry if you choose a 'free' delivery option.
Seems to be working properly now. I'll keep testing.

Think the problem may be my country selector. I only deliver to the United Kingdom, so it is the only option available, which might be causing the above issue.
How do I control what address fields are optional / required at step 2 Tim?
I believe settings / account options only controls checkout at step 1. Or is that wrong?
Because you are asking for shipping. You generally need a state and postal code when shipping something.
If you don't want a shipping address, edit your shipping option an check the option if is for pick up and shipping address isn't needed.

Thanks Tim, I don't do shipping. I just checked my backend and it was all ticked correctly for pickup but I did have 0-999 ( or whatever it is ) in the pricing box when is says not to .. probably somethign I missed in an update .. removed that so hopefully all good now - thanks :)

ok, new one now - I can get to entering credit card and the screen after that now says fields are blank ( names of client )
I have edited and fill in every field myself in the backend, pressed 'save changes' and refresh screen and still cannot check out. So I go back to the client's account which I edited myself and the fields are all blank again, even though I filled them in myself.
( I have now unticked all the boxes requiring ANY information from a client and I still can't get this order paid )
Ive just put their credit card order through under my own account and sent them files separately.
I was going to do a "last minute" prompt to all customers today to get digitals before Xmas but i';m worried they are all going to be blocked at the checkout!
Email me link to your admin with username and password and the exact steps to take to replicate your issue.

Thankyou - I have done this now. More people this morning with same issues.
Regardless of the options in Settings -> Account Requirements, first and last name are required to place an order.

I only recently made those "not required" because of the problems I am having above with "missing fields" at checkout. I will try again now.
