How To Ftp For Portfolio Images?

I searched and followed the instructions to upload a folder to the sy_upload folder via my FTP.   It's there, however when I go to the portfolio page I do not see any option to upload to that specific folder.      I'm creating my portfolio pages so the limit of 10 images just isn't gonna be easy so I want to use the FTP.

select all of the ones you want for new page and use the move tool at bottom of the page.

Sorry I’m doin a poor job of putting it in words. It isn’t hard.

Thanks for trying but I didn't see a move option.    what I was trying to do is do a bulk upload to the specific categories in my portfolio rather then being limited to uploading only 10 image at a time.    I just could not figure it out so ended up spending most of the day uploading 10 images at a time into the 6 sub categories I have for my portfolio.

There is not an option to upload  via FTP to the page designer.

You have created sub categories under portfolios section. You should be adding a page for each portfolio instead (the blue add new page tab).

And instead of using the page designer for those galleries, upload the photos to those pages using the Upload Photos tab. You can upload via FTP from there if you like, but I don't think it is nessary since there is no limit of how many photos to upload uploading that way with the uploader.

This is what I have.   And then when you click on each it goes to the correct portfolio photos so I am confused if I messed it up.

You CAN do it that way and it will be fine. Just would have probably been easier creating galleries instead.
