Tracking Referrers (qr Code At Events)
Hello All,
I'm wondering if someone has a good way to track where new hits come from. Specifically QR codes at events.
I made a page that my QR code goes to, and I've embedded a script to immediately load the home page, but it seems like the script bounces the viewer before Sytist records the view in the page's stats.
Is there a better way? My goal is to put a QR code on my table at events to take people to my homepage and differentiate QR scans vs. coincidental page hits.
Thanks!
-John
Have you looked at QRmonkey? I think the paid version will give you scan insights/track the hits.
There is not a way to do it unless you make that page the landing page and not redirect to the homepage.

Thanks Brooke and Tim, maybe I'll make a different intro page that is more targeted at people who have already seen us, then have a big button to the homepage.
Thought about QR Tracking, not sure how that works, I like how when scanning the QR Code now shows it's innocently going to my webpage. Maybe tracking goes to their site first? Either way, not really interested in paying for the service. Could probably do it on the website (cpanel) side too.
