Sorting Not Working

I know there has always been problems with sorting when uploading from a Mac, but they seemed to be fixed for a while and now not working again? I’ve tried resort upload, and rearrange photos but it doesn’t sort them within the subfolders, you have to go into each one individually.

also, it’s selecting random images as the preview on sub folders recently. We have hundreds of competitors and multiple photographers at our events and sort into competitor subfolders and I name the files so that a certain photographers images appear first and as the preview image. It also gives a uniformed look on the main page, but this currently isn’t working

The sort after upload is working. I just tested it 3 times. Maybe it has something to do with your file naming.

For the sub gallery previews, from the 5.0 update July 16: 

• Made it when uploading with the built in uploader setting the values for the gallery and sub gallery preview photo. (had been in the FTP upload but somehow missed the regular uploader).

Since apple uploads in a random order, this is why. It makes the first photo of the sub gallery the preview photo. This is done to help with speed.

Since this is apparently a problem now because apple uploads in random order, I am removing that from the next update. 

If you want to apply that change now, you can download this zip file. Unzip it and upload the included PHP file into the sy-admin/upload folder on your website overwriting the existing one either with your FTP program or the file manager in your hosting control panel.
