Changing Date Format In Date Picker.

Is it possible to have the date shown on the date picker in the expiry date field for example changed to display the day, then month name then year, so instead of 15-9-2024, it would show 15 Sept 2024.

I can see in the  basic settings  the date format can be changed but this does not work in that area, and still shows only numbers, not the month name and the numbers are shown as YYYY-MM-DD anyway. 

When choosing from the date picker it is YYYY-MM-DD and then after you have saved it, it displays as DD-MM-YYYY.

There is not a way to change that. That is how it is stored in the database.
