Is there a way to attach an IP to a customer? I would like to tell which customers are visiting the site in the stats by having their names show up instead of an IP. I am not sure if this is possible automatically or if there would be a way to assign the IP to the customer manually.

You can't tell who someone is based on their IP address. It can only show who it is if they are logged into an account or have purchased something in the past using the same IP address.
