Moving Site Photos And Watermark Back To Host Storage
Hi there,
I've just set up Amazon S3, and I think all the photos I have on the site have been moved there, including my logos and watermarks. My watermark has started to display weirdly - at full opacity and showing really huge across my photo. I'm wondering if it because the watermark has moved to S3?
Just wondering how I move all those types of images back to my hosting site, also so I don't accidentally delete them at some stage. I just want to host client photos on S3.
Thanks!
Your watermark files are not moved to S3 so that is not the issue. Perhaps you have uploaded the wrong watermark file. I would suggest reuploading it.
And there is not an option to move photos from S3 back to the server. You would have to delete and re-upload.

Hmm, it was working before and I didn't change anything. I will try re-uploading and see what happens.
Thank you!
Hi Tim,
I have tried uploading and applying a new watermark, and also deleting the old one. However the old one is still displaying, but not as it should - it's really huge (this pattern should be repeating multiple times across the picture) and full opacity. Any ideas?? I need these galleries to go out next Tuesday NZ time.
Thanks,
Lianna
Ok, more playing around and I've come to this conclusion:
1) The watermark we select when uploading can't be changed, so to change it on the photos I've uploaded I'll need to delete and re-upload them.
2) To make the watermark appear smaller and more opaque I need to reduce the size of the watermark file and reduce the opacity BEFORE uploading to Sytist.
Are these points correct? Sorry for my probably dumb questions, I've come from Shootproof which allows changing all those features within the software.
Yes, you have to re-upload the photos if you want to change the watermark since the photos files are saved with the watermark added during upload.
The watermarking page in the manual gives an example on size.
