Product Group Or Individual Product Limit

I am trying to restrict the selection of an item to one choice. For instance, customers will make a selection for what image will be placed in a yearbook. I have the product in a product group, which customers are forced to select before they can order their own packages. But, it appears they are able to select every image in the gallery for that product within the product base (the product is "Yearbook Selection".)

I am not so much worried about that - if I have to, I can e-mail them back, and let them know they can only select one image. My problem is we give them options for retouching specifically for the yearbook, and I don't want them paying multiple times, since we're only dealing with one image.

Corollary question - can I limit the quantity of an item. Again, yearbook pose. Default is for customer to be able to increase quantity. Not an issue if they order 5 copies of it, without paying for any retouching. But, if they pay for retouching, that's a problem.

There is not a way to limit a product from being ordered only once or limit the quantity.

But sounds like you need to make this a standard product if you aren't (in the product base like a standard print) and use the image options for retouching.

Image options are only charged once per photo no matter how many prints/products they purchase.

Just bumping this a bit, I'm researching if there's a way to add a bonus item they get once when they order over a certain amount.  I just don't want them to claim multiple bonus items
