Removed extra content-type header for emails that may cause emails to be returned (sy-inc -> functions.php)

  • Added a feature where when someone adds a photo product to their cart (print or download), it will show a "in my cart" message with a link to view the shopping cart.

  • Added "recently viewed pages" to the stats section to show the last 100 pages viewed.

  • Removed changing quantity amount on photo downloads.

  • Changed the reports and orders to be based on payment date instead of the date the order was placed.

Am I correct in thinking if I create free shipping group and apply that within a gallery it will override any shipping costs with in any given price list for a gallery?

and this is created in "settings" , then "Shipping" and applied at the gallery level?

Andy

Yes, that is correct Andy. Also, you can create a shipping group with no shipping options, assign it to a gallery and won't ask for shipping.

The new changes look great, can't wait to get stuck into them!

But I have been having troubles all afternoon updating. I have followed the instructions exactly as stated on the "How to upgrade" page, and my files have been overridden in my FTP program but my admin still has that blue bar that says "Sytist version 0.8.1 is available. (Your version is 0.7.9). Click here for upgrade information."
And as far as I am aware no new changes can be seen in my admin.

I suspect your admin folder is called something other than "sy-admin".

If your Sytist admin folder is not named "sy-admin", upload the CONTENTS of the sy-admin folder INTO your admin folder on your website (whatever it is called) overwriting the existing ones.

Thanks for your response Tim. It is indeed called sy-admin but to be sure I followed your above steps with no new result. I just tried it again but still nothing.

Don't know if it helps, but I did refresh the page and cleaned out my Recent history. I am using Firefox.

Are you sure about that?

Example, the demo admin link is sytistdemo.picturespro.com/sy-admin/index.php ... but it could be something like sytistdemo.picturespro.com/office-admin/index.php .

Look in your address bar while you are in the admin and see what yours is.

Oh dear, oh dear, no I am not sure!

Sorry Tim, in my hurry to install the upgrade I dragged ALL upgrade folders to my FTP, so I created a brand new sy-admin folder which I assumed was correct. I did indeed forget that i renamed my admin link.
Apologies, it's late here and I was just too excited! Thanks for your great work and patience with us not so tech people, keep it up! And I have learned from my mistake :)

Tim,

I was wondering if the issue with the sub gallery not using the assigned price list was something that was going to be fixed soon. And also with digital download products, the ability to limit the amount of times they can add an image to the cart to 1.

I would also like to put a vote in for a couple features. The ability to duplicate a price group like in PC, and a way to categorize the base products so that I can separate the different aspects of my business without having to scroll through the entire list looking for specific items that were mixed together.

One more thing if it is at all possible, if there was a way when replacing photos to be released for a customer's digital purchase could it be possible to batch upload the images to be replaced instead of having to upload one at a time.

Thanks again for all your work Tim

The sub gallery price list is still in my notes to look into and also duplicating price lists.

I this update the download photos don't have a quantity option when adding to cart or when viewing the cart. And also when it is in their shipping cart it shows them it is in their shopping cart so then maybe they will know not to add it again.

You can upload multiple replacement photos just by uploading those to the gallery they came from and selecting the replace photos option. Then after they have uploaded go to the order and click the allow to download all.

Ok thanks for the replacement info I will try it out.

I also hope that my clients don't add the image more that once. I just know that i went in the cart myself and it is really easy to make that mistake. Unfortunately whenever they do that I end up in a situation that i have to issue refunds. just hoping for a way to lock it so it can only be picked once per image

Hi Tim,
Appreciate all the Customer add ons. The interim version was a huge help BTW.
Can you add Customer Name to the Export People page in your next revision? Also, it would be great if we had a way to export orders to a spreadsheet.

Thanks,

Rick Raphael
