Attention

If your Photo Cart is suddenly getting a 500 error or only displaying a blank page then you or your hosting company has updated the PHP (programming language) to PHP 7 which Photo Cart is not compatible with (and will not be compatible with) mainly because of the removal of the my_sql functions which are replaced with my_sqli functions.

You would need to have the PHP version downgraded to 5.6 in order for Photo Cart to work. If downgrading the PHP doesn't work then you may have to update Photo Cart to the last version of 7. Download Photo Cart 7 upgrade files. Upgrade instructions.

Photo Cart was retired in 2015. Check out Sytist.

All of a sudden my photo art is not working and I’m getting the http 500 error. Haven’t done anything to it. It was working fine and all of a sudden it’s not even losing. Contacted my host who was completely unhelpful.

They said there was a coding issue. Not sure how that would happen if I have t touched it

At this point I probably should just upgrade to stylist but 1) I have orders to work on that I can’t access and 2) can’t even find the key needed to buy the upgrade. So I just need it to work at least for those reasons.

That error indicates the PHP version (programming language) on your hosting account is PHP 7 which Photo Cart is not compatible with (mainly because of the removal of the my_sql functions which are replaced with my_sqli functions). You would need to have the PHP version downgraded to 5.6 in order for Photo Cart to work.

Yup I had changed the PHP version months ago just for that Htaccess file of the photocart, so it would be odd that it just stopped working for no reason. This is the error log I am seeing for this issue:

Mon Jul 27 11:18:37.364585 2020] [core:alert] [pid 112651:tid 47365561566976] [client 174.57.243.32:61245] /home/emapho5/public_html/proofs/.htaccess: AddHandler requires at least two arguments, a handler name followed by one or more file extensions

You should check the PHP version now and perhaps delete the .htaccess file since the error is referring to that.
