Attention

If your Photo Cart is suddenly getting a 500 error or only displaying a blank page then you or your hosting company has updated the PHP (programming language) to PHP 7 which Photo Cart is not compatible with (and will not be compatible with) mainly because of the removal of the my_sql functions which are replaced with my_sqli functions.

You would need to have the PHP version downgraded to 5.6 in order for Photo Cart to work. If downgrading the PHP doesn't work then you may have to update Photo Cart to the last version of 7. Download Photo Cart 7 upgrade files. Upgrade instructions.

Photo Cart was retired in 2015. Check out Sytist.

Hello, I have been using photo cart for years and years now. Out of the blue my photo cart page and admin page are completely blank. On moblie it says "http error 500".

Reading past forums in here I thought that maybe I wasn't updated to the last version, but after downloading the last update and upgrading everything, it did not work.

Not sure what to do now.

When I first talked to my hosting provider they said: "The undefined function mysql_connect() in /home1/public_html/photocart/pc_inc/functions.core.php is causing the issue. Unfortunately we are not developers when you're reaching out to support. I did try and help with getting the issue resolved, however I think the best way to get your site up and running would be to reach out to the developer of the plugin".

Thanks for any help. The page I am trying to fix: http://www.lifelikephotostudio.com/photocart/

That error indicates the PHP version (programming language) on your hosting account is PHP 7 which Photo Cart is not compatible with (mainly because of the removal of the my_sql functions which are replaced with my_sqli functions). You would need to have the PHP version downgraded to 5.6 in order for Photo Cart to work.

I am having the same issue. I've purchased a bunch of photo cart licenses to use on multiple sites. Now the (dreamhost) hosting has upgraded to php 7 and nothing works. If dreamhost won't downgrade it what are my options? Is there going to be an update?

I was able to downgrade the php back to 5.6 but I'm concerned as they say this will only be available for the next few weeks.

Photo Cart was retired about 5 years ago. It won't be compatible with PHP 7.

My hosting company was able to have my main site work with the latest PHP and keep photo cart at the 5.6
