Attention
If your Photo Cart is suddenly getting a 500 error or only displaying a blank page then you or your hosting company has updated the PHP (programming language) to PHP 7 which Photo Cart is not compatible with (and will not be compatible with) mainly because of the removal of the my_sql functions which are replaced with my_sqli functions.
You would need to have the PHP version downgraded to 5.6 in order for Photo Cart to work. If downgrading the PHP doesn't work then you may have to update Photo Cart to the last version of 7. Download Photo Cart 7 upgrade files. Upgrade instructions.
Photo Cart was retired in 2015. Check out Sytist.
Amazon S3 Version2 Potential Problem
I just switched all my photos to AmazonS3 North Virginia as there was not an amazon S3 version 2 in Canada.
If it happens that I must switch to a Canadian server is there any way to make it work on this ver 4...whatever that means??
I halfway through a change over to Saratoga hosting for the front half and amazon for the photos. What are my choices. Is there anything I can do to make what I have work?
If that does happen with your province, sounds like you will have to get a new host too because some images will still be moved to the server like when they are moved from S3 to the server to be downloaded or create a zip file (then deleted from the server) ... depending on how strict they are going to be.
