Attention

If your Photo Cart is suddenly getting a 500 error or only displaying a blank page then you or your hosting company has updated the PHP (programming language) to PHP 7 which Photo Cart is not compatible with (and will not be compatible with) mainly because of the removal of the my_sql functions which are replaced with my_sqli functions.

You would need to have the PHP version downgraded to 5.6 in order for Photo Cart to work. If downgrading the PHP doesn't work then you may have to update Photo Cart to the last version of 7. Download Photo Cart 7 upgrade files. Upgrade instructions.

Photo Cart was retired in 2015. Check out Sytist.

Hello,
As a new user I am trying to create a shopping cart for my clients to purchase their childcare images.
I have created some collections (packages) as options for them, and am then hoping to have 'add ons' once they purchase a package.
I'm stuck because the cart section does not seem to be loading in the password protected gallery I have made.
Can someone please point me in the right direction?
Thanks,
Rebecca

I believe you don't have a price list selected for your gallery. Edit the gallery in the admin (in the Site Content area) and while in the TEXT & SETTINGS tab, click the Price List option on the right of the page to select a price list.

You can also make a price list a default by clicking Make Default for the price list in Photo Products -> Price Lists.

Thank you Tim,

I have realised that I can't select this option, in my price list section, as I cannot work out to transfer the Product Base and Collections over to the Price List that I created.

This information didn't appear to be in the manual, but maybe it's just due to me still learning the new vocabulary in the software and what that relates to :)

I look forward to hearing from you again as I'm looking forward to running some texting soon.

Thanks,
Rebecca

I have also noticed that in my Price List section, the drop down menu only says, "Select which section or category to add products from." Nothing drops down in that menu, and I have made collections already. Hopefully that gives you a little more insight.
Thanks

I see what it is. You created a product group in your Childcare #1 price list for items from a store section. You don't want to use that option (that's for something else).

So do this:

Photo Products -> Price Lists -> Childcare #1.

Click the Create Product Group button. Create a new product group called collections or packages. Don't select any of the other options and click create.

After it is created, click delete group under "2018 November - 3 Collections".

Then you will have the option to add your packages to the price list.
