Attention

If your Photo Cart is suddenly getting a 500 error or only displaying a blank page then you or your hosting company has updated the PHP (programming language) to PHP 7 which Photo Cart is not compatible with (and will not be compatible with) mainly because of the removal of the my_sql functions which are replaced with my_sqli functions.

You would need to have the PHP version downgraded to 5.6 in order for Photo Cart to work. If downgrading the PHP doesn't work then you may have to update Photo Cart to the last version of 7. Download Photo Cart 7 upgrade files. Upgrade instructions.

Photo Cart was retired in 2015. Check out Sytist.

I think 1&1 Webhost must have changed some setting as I can not get Dave Freeloader to work nor
can I upload directly in Photo Cart

Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 62914560 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 19712 bytes) in /homepages/0/d217959680/htdocs/photo/photocart/admin/upload_multi.php on line 240

Thank you for your assistance

The error means the photo is too large for the server to process. So you will need to upload smaller photos or ask your host to increase the PHP "memory_limit" to like 512M or more.

Hi Tim,

I talked with 1&1.com and they increased it to 512 and made some other changes. I also reinstalled 7.1 as
per your directions. Photo Cart will let me create a new directory and when I try to upload a couple of
photos, It says photos uploaded but nothing is showing up in the new directory. I also tried to upload
to one of my older galleries and it says that the photo is uploaded but nothing is showing up.

PHP version5.6.30

Try uploading a small photo, like around 100KB / 800 pixels on the longest side, along that lines and see if it uploads.

Tim, This is weird but I saved the smaller file to my desktop and
it uploads from there just fine but when I try to load it off either my drobo
or a thump drive, it says that it uploaded it but nothing is showing up......

i"m thinking its still a server thing......When trying to upload a photo or
a couple of photos.....Where it says uploading photos then right across from
that it says "refresh" and then "FTP link" When I hit "FTP link" It says that this site
cannot be reached but show a link to it on the same screen and that works to my web site
is there a place where you can manually set the FTP link? Thank you Dan

I really don't know what to tell you. Try moving the photos off the thumb drive to your computer and see if they upload that way. For FTP problems, you should contact your host.
