Attention

If your Photo Cart is suddenly getting a 500 error or only displaying a blank page then you or your hosting company has updated the PHP (programming language) to PHP 7 which Photo Cart is not compatible with (and will not be compatible with) mainly because of the removal of the my_sql functions which are replaced with my_sqli functions.

You would need to have the PHP version downgraded to 5.6 in order for Photo Cart to work. If downgrading the PHP doesn't work then you may have to update Photo Cart to the last version of 7. Download Photo Cart 7 upgrade files. Upgrade instructions.

Photo Cart was retired in 2015. Check out Sytist.

Moving Photo Cart To Another Domain Name

Currently I have my website and my blog under 2 separate domain names. My blog is with WP and is where Photo Cart resides.

I am currently making my website and blog one in a new WP theme under one domain name. I will be exporting my current WP blog into my new WP website. My question is, do I have to re-install Photo Cart into my new WP theme or will it transfer over with my old WP blog even though it will all now be under one domain?

If both domains are on the same hosting account (you can access both via the same FTP login), then you can just drag the Photo Cart folder into the new domain folder.

If they are on different hosts, see this:

I've mucked it up. I'm moving it from one WP blog to another. Can you tell me which file specifically I'm to move it into within the public_html folder? Should it be wp_admin?

You move your Photo Cart folder (whatever it is named) into the public_html folder or if you have a folder for that domain name, move it into that folder.

I've moved it to the public_html folder but it's still inactive.

My user name and password aren't working on the admin page.

Think it's fixed.
